The groundbreaking of Jakarta International Sport Climbing as wide as 7,998 meter square on Jakarta Grand City Housing Complex, Cakung was held by East Jakarta City Secretary, Usmayadi.

According to Usmayadi, the construction will be run by Jakarta Dept. of Youth and Sport (Dispora) and is targeted to complete in December.

"It is hoped we can have professional climbing athlete through this activity," he said, Monday (11/4).

He added that the Jakarta International Sport Climbing construction is prepared for the athlete to face 2020 Olympic in Japan and 2020 World Cup Series.

Meanwhile, Dispora Head, Ahmad Firdaus, stated that the construction is also a form of Jakarta Provincial Government for climbing athletes.

"We hope this facility will gain their motivation and spirit to reach the best achievement," he stated.
